For Christmas, I received the Triumvirate of the Primarch which contains Robute Guilliman, Cypher, and Grand Master Voldus, all of which are fantastic models.
While Guilliman is the Primarch of the Ultramarines, the rest of my space marine models are being painted in an adapted colour scheme taken from the Storm Reapers which are a White Scars successor Chapter, meaning that they are mostly painted in black and white. With this in mind, I have decided to paint Guilliman in a similar colour scheme so that I can use him alongside my army if I wish, without him looking out of place. The artwork on the box might be in keeping with the lore that surrounds the 40K universe, and the models might look amazing painted in this way, but at the end of the day I have the freedom to be able to paint the models any way I want to fit in with my own army.
I still have a long way to go with painting this miniature, but thought I would show a couple of pictures of my progress. I'll be sure to post more when he is finished, and show what he looks like alongside my other forces.
