Penrhyn Castle

As a family, we hold a National Trust pass and it has become invaluable to us as we holiday in different places around the UK. The pass is great for days out too as it allows either free entry, or reduced cost entry into a huge number of interesting places. It often means that we more or less stumble across places as we are on our travels.

One such place we visited was Penrhyn Castle in Bangor, Wales near Anglesey.

There were many examples of ornate architecture, especially in one of the stairwells.

The castle boasts William Morris wallpapers and a nice art collection that used to include a Rembrandt painting.
