I was asked to develop a new logo for an established festival that would breathe some life into the imagery.

It was decided that the old Folk and Boat festival name would be replaced with the FAB festival to give more focus towards the music without it having to be exclusively folk orientated.

 

I wanted to reference the legacy of the festival which is held in a town where three canals converge and was originally organised to celebrate those who lived and worked on the canals. I decided to include a sun to show that this was the dawn of a new era for the festival which benefits from a good amount of sunshine.
